His musical endeavors also took a different turn as he pursued his Christian/spiritual life. He recorded an album with a band named Burning Heart in 1986.
In 1995 Don Caldwell of the famous Cactus Theater in Lubbock contacted Junior about being part of the musical family there at the theater. He played several years there and also cut his teeth in theater performing/acting in several musicals/plays.
In early 2000 he wrote his first of many jingles for the local market and has written close to 100 jingles since then. During this time he has been performing consistently in local venues.
In 2009 he wrote and produced his first solo album, “It’ll Turn Around”, and sold over 1500 copies.
Just recently Junior was a supporting actor in the nationally released movie “The Arroyo”. The movie premiered in Lubbock and in Hollywood in early 2014.
